The Future of Global Health
“The international community must strengthen our global healthcare infrastructure in order to protect everyone's ability to live minimally good lives.”
- Creative Resolve: The Future of Global Health
This film explores the transformative power of creative resolve in global health. From the frontlines of Rwanda's HIV fight to the historic eradication of smallpox, we go behind the scenes with the activists and experts who refused to accept the status quo. It's more than a history of medicine; it's a blueprint for a future where health is a right, not a privilege, and international solidarity is our strongest vaccine.
We completed the interviews for this documentary at Cornell and Princeton Universities - many of them during the Princeton workshop on Pandemic Preparation and Response: Ensuring Equitable Access - where leading authorities on global health and medication convened to discuss access to essential counter-measures with pandemic treaty negotiators. The film uses footage from all across the world, to reflect the global scale of these conversations. Through the film we hope to contribute to these discussions, bring the Global Health Impact project's research on pandemic preparation and response to a larger audience, and inspire the next generation of global health leaders.
